Her master's and doctoral degrees are in Child Development from Purdue University. Her special interests are in parenting education content and delivery methods, high-risk parenting situations, and the impact of war and peace on families and children.

Justin Loughman is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist in Orange County, California. He currently works with HIV positive clients in the Early Intervention Program at the County of Orange. Mr. Loughman is an instructor at the University of Phoenix teaching Child therapy and Law and Ethics classes. He has extensive experience working with children and families in the non-public school, group home, and clinical settings. He has research experience at the University of Oklahoma and the National Institute of Child and Human Development at the University of California, Irvine. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and his Masters of Science in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. .
