This program offered me a place to reflect on my own thoughts. As the 'leaver', I was feeling bad, and considered stopping the divorce, but when I am with him, nothing works. When I started watching the videos, they reassured me that I am not crazy. It's ok to feel the feels. It is not ok to stay together and keep fighting. I like the reflection on how the kids are feeling. It is not just about me and my feelings. I think I have 'seen' my kids more clearly since starting this class. Even my son with Autism is showing emotions, and I am sitting with him and just holding him. The best part is, he is letting me.

Reflecting on this program, there are several aspects that I found particularly beneficial: 1) Comprehensive Content: I appreciated the thoroughness of the program's content, covering a wide range of topics related to co-parenting and divorce. From communication strategies to parenting plans, the program provided valuable insights and practical advice on navigating the challenges of co-parenting. 2) Practical Tools and Resources: The program offered practical tools and resources that I found helpful in applying the concepts learned. Whether it was worksheets for developing a parenting plan or journal prompts for self-reflection, these resources enhanced the learning experience and provided actionable steps for implementation. 3) Supportive Community: Engaging with fellow participants and instructors in the program created a supportive community where I felt encouraged to share experiences, ask questions, and learn from others. This sense of camaraderie and support added depth to the learning process and helped me feel less alone in my co-parenting journey. 4) Positive and Empowering Approach: I appreciated the program's positive and empowering approach to co-parenting. Instead of focusing solely on challenges and obstacles, the program emphasized proactive strategies for fostering healthy co-parenting relationships and prioritizing the well-being of children. Overall, these aspects of the program contributed to a valuable and enriching learning experience and I feel better equipped to navigate the complexities of co-parenting with confidence and optimism.

I appreciated the emphasis, on positive co-parenting relationships. I also liked reading the developmental literature, pertaining to children of divorced individuals, and how the situation (certainly) affects the children (in a divorce). Although my parenting relationship with FOC/OP cannot be positive (due to his abuse), I still appreciated the dedication to emotional congruency; pertaining to children, and how to effectively assist them, while they are experiencing transitions (due to their parents divorcing). Thank you!

Learning how to communicate with children effectively after a breakup is invaluable. I found it to be an eye-opening experience that offered me a new perspective on how to handle such a difficult situation. It taught me that children are often the ones who are most affected by a breakup and that they need emotional support and guidance to help them cope with the changes in their lives. I am grateful for this newfound knowledge and I believe that it can be helpful for anyone going through a similar experience.
